As the part of the field trip report, I went to the De Paul, 1 E Jackson blvd, Chicago, IL.
As the largest catholic university and one of the largest private institutions
in Chicago, De Paul serves over 23,000 students. Its students reflect the diversity of ethnic, religious, geographic and economic
back grounds. This institution also ranked #1 in the survey rankings of “happy
students,” which made me to choose this institution for my field trip.
Among 23,000
students 60% of students are Caucasian, 11% Asian-Pacific, 10% African Americans and Hispanics each, 0.2 % Native Americans.
6% of students’ races remain unknown. De Paul University also serves 2% foreign students. 55% are females and 45% are
males.
DePaul University has 6 branches. Branches are Lake Forest, Loop, Naperville,
Oak Forest, O’Hare and Rolling Meadows. This institution was founded in 1898 by the Vincentian’s (Catholic Religion
Society) as the largest catholic university in the nation; it is a growing and influential network that enables lifelong benefits
to all.
This institution has a fantastic atmosphere with all facilities to improve the intellectual
sports and cultural fields. For sure, it is the #1 “happy students” college in Chicago.
